Steven J. Wells

I was born and raised in Marion, Iowa, and started in the insurance business right after graduating from high school. My wife, Debbie, and I have 3 grown sons, one of which lives in the area, and 2 that live in Arizona. Debbie and I live in Marion, and enjoy our trips west to visit our sons and their families. We are involved in ministry at First Assembly of God, and participate in missions trips around the world. Over the years I've sat on several municipal boards, along with the board of deacons, missions team and men's ministry team at our church. I have served on several agent advisory boards for the insurance companies we represent as well as several non-profit organizations.
I believe my years of experience in the insurance business benefit all my clients that have trusted me to protect the things that are important to them. It is my pleasure to serve the insurance needs of my clients throughout the mid-west.

I grew up in the local area and have been involved with the insurance industry for the past 28 years. As a Certified Insurance Counselor, I have the knowledge and expertise to tailor your insurance program to provide you with the coverage you need at a price you can afford. My main goal is to provide the best service possible to my clients. You will not have to speak with a customer service representative; I am your contact for any questions or concerns.
I live in Marion with my wife Kathi and enjoy spending time with my family, boating, playing basketball and golf. I am past president of the Marion Noon Lions club, Marion Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and have been on the board of directors for the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Y.M.C.A. and the Linn-Mar Community Schools Foundation Board. I have been a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Marion, serving on the board of trustees, and finance.

I began my insurance career as an agent with White Pigeon County Mutual in Wilton, Iowa in 1971, writing all lines of business. While I hold numerous insurance licenses, my areas of specialty are life & health, and employee benefits. Most of my clients live in the Marion/Cedar Rapids area, but I also serve clients and businesses all over eastern Iowa. I am blessed to be a part of the United Insurance Agencies. I began my insurance career in 1989 after spending eleven years as a high school English teacher. Since 2002, I have been at United Insurance, working to develop positive relationships with both personal and commercial insurance customers. I am fully licensed in all lines of insurance and am committed to providing my clients with the best service possible. I live in Marion with my wife Trisha and enjoy writing short stories and novels.
Jeff Mark

Originally from Cedar Rapids, I grew up here and graduated from Washington High School. I attended college in Iowa and Missouri and worked as an auto body technician for 5 years. My love of cars and my wish for better working conditions led me into insurance. It also helps that I am a third generation insurance professional. Now I can say that I have experience on both sides of the repair, from an insurance point of view and a technician’s.
I live in Cedar Rapids and serve clients all over the state of Iowa. I particularly enjoy working with people to answer their questions and find the best product to fit their needs. I have experience in personal, business, and health insurance, and also handle surety bonds for corporations and contractors.
Rick Hingtgen

I joined United Insurance Agencies in December of 2007 to offer my clients more than what I could on my own. I feel I have made a great choice. I enjoy working with people and I feel that I truly understand both sides of the business, the company side as well as the client side. I answer all of my clients’ questions and take the time to explain additional items that are so often misunderstood between the client and the company. My clients leave my office knowing that I am here to serve them, that I am their agent. I am always doing my best to keep my clients satisfied.
I have lived in Eastern Iowa my entire life. I reside in Marion with my wife Kim. I graduated from Bellevue Marquette High School in 1982 and received a Diploma from Kirkwood Community College in their Environmental Science program the following year. I enjoy simple things in life and, I feel, live a simple and honest life.

I have enjoyed my 35 years in insurance. I believe working for an insurance company for 12 years provides a great foundation for selling insurance.

I live in Cedar Rapids with my wife of 33 years, Paulette. We have two children, both married and living in Cedar Rapids and Marion. We also have three tremendous grandchildren.
